PM Modi Promotes Made in India Products

PM Modi’s Call to Shopkeepers

So, Modi’s basically telling shopkeepers to ditch the imports and push ‘Made in India’ stuff front and center. He wrote this open letter—yeah, an actual letter, not just one of those endless speeches—right as the new GST rates kicked in. And these new rates? They’re supposed to shake things up big time for small and mid-sized businesses.

He’s not just talking profits here. There’s this whole “Atmanirbhar Bharat” vibe—basically, he wants everyone to get behind the idea of India doing its own thing, making its own stuff, and not relying too much on the rest of the world. Every time you grab something that’s made here, you’re supposedly helping someone get a job, giving a leg up to a small manufacturer, and, you know, doing your bit for the country. Patriotism with your shopping bag, I guess.

Now, about these GST changes:

they’re hyped up as a win for the little guys—textiles, handicrafts, electronics, FMCG, all that jazz. Supposedly, shopkeepers will have less boring paperwork (finally), fatter profit margins on homegrown goods, and shoppers might actually start trusting Indian brands more. Fingers crossed, right?

Make Indian products so good and so competitive that the world starts lining up for them—and, meanwhile, local sellers get a serious power-up.

At the end of the day,

selling Indian-made stuff isn’t just about money. It’s about backing your own people—artisans, tiny family-run factories, folks out in the villages. So, next time you’re shopping, maybe think about where that product actually comes from. Or don’t. But Modi’s definitely hoping you will.

Let’s make #MadeInIndia the first choice!
Shopkeepers—support local, sell Indian, and grow with the nation.
